- A smart purchase and the best "Slow but sure" example there is, the Knightmare easily has the best grip on rocky surfaces of all vehicles in the game, befitting its rock crawler-spec tires and suspension travel. However, this specialization makes it suffer from rather poor grip on any other surface, such as dirt or tarmac.
- Its hill-climbing ability makes it a great exploration vehicle, in conjunction with the Dreadnaught.
- Its turning capability is bipolar; sluggish one moment then overly sensitive the next as it hugs the terrain one moment then wants to drift the next. Takes a bit of getting used to, but a useful vehicle for early races and climbing rocks.
- It is the best hill climber, closely followed by Burstrider, that instead of climbing hills, it's probably made to do the other way around.
